The Newly Discovered Wonders of a Pack n’ Play
I am delivering my second baby this month and all this time I have been stressing out because I do not have a bassinet.
Where will he sleep in his first months!?!?
And furthermore, will I have to change his diapers on the floor next to my bed while the cats walk over his head?
As a last resort, I accepted a giveaway Pack n’ Play from someone at work and acceded to use that.
I actually already have a Pack n’ Play which I use frequently for my 2 year-old when we go to friend’s houses, but I never use any of the accessories–just the basic frame and fold-up mattress so he can sleep if we stay out later than his bedtime–so I really didn’t understand the potential of this thing.
When I put together the one my friend gave me, it wasn’t as bad as I thought it would be. With the bassinet attachment, it was actually kind of cozy. But then I realized that MY Pack n’ Play has even more features than the one my friend gave me, so I decided to use the new one for Phoenix and put mine upstairs for the baby.
OMG, it has EVERYTHING I need!
It has a cozy bassinet, an attached changing station, a little canopy with a small mobile for shade, room for storage of diapers (under the changing station attachment) and a little accessory tray for burp cloths and tush cream…
I can’t believe it! It’s like a little baby house that fits next to my bed.
All this time I have been searching Amazon for an affordable bassinet that didn’t look cheap and my Pack n’ Play was right here all along. The PERFECT solution.
YAY, Graco!

I like Asher…

We have decided on Seven James.
I really like it and my husband does, too, although he likes Axel better and is harassing me a bit to change my mind. I won’t.
Seven was actually his first choice for our first boy over 2 years ago and I was the one to veto it at that time…Seven it is!
(Even if my mom, and Scott’s mom, both kinda hate it.)

Ooops. I posted the above reply under the wrong blog entry…don’t let it confuse you! It goes under “What’s In A Name”.
